Malaga Fan On
Anderson Silva de França
Dont
get your hopes up over Anderson
We love you Everton have asked one of Malaga's most
loyal fans Chocky whats the score with this Anderson fella and
when is he coming to Everton. Chocky said "I would like to
tell you something positive about Anderson, but neither myself
nor any other Malaga fan could I'm afraid. As far as we know, he
has come to the end of his extended loan spell and has left the
club."
"He didn't make any impact at all even in a squad that got
relegated. Having said that, he was playing under two awful
managers who couldn't get the best out of a group of players that
should easily have finished mid-table."
"But had the team been firing on all cylinders all season,
he still wouldn't have made most fans eleven."
So to the few Evertonians who were hoping for the next Rodrigo
the message from Malaga is not to get too excited "I'm a
Palace fan too, forget about Anderson and enjoy Andy
Johnson...sheer class, and I'm glad he went to you not Bolton or
Wigan where he would've been wasted."
Home
For Everton - Part 1
Kirby named as possible location for new stadium
Kirby is believed to be one of the locations Everton
have shortlisted for a possible new home as it's not far from
Goodison and good for the suits with great access to the M57.
A development including the building of a new Tesco would be
where the stadium would be built.
It may tick all the boxes but it's not in Liverpool although it
is now becoming increasingly likely that Everton will move
outside the city's boundaries if there is any chance of getting
public money.
Fans will be sceptical about the Kirby move and the prospect of
playing the next hundred years in a bowl surrounded by loads of
shops to rival that of The Reebok and Pride Park.
Chairman Bill Kenwright is believed to be keen to keep the blues
in Liverpool and will meet with the mayor and other council
officials before the end of the month.
Lescott
Completes Everton Switch
Joleon Lescott signs for Everton from Wolves
Joleon Lescott has finally completed his transfer from
Wolverhampton Wanderers to Everton with the fee now spread out
over the next four years and appearances ect. Lescott comes
highly rated by the Wolves fans who know he deserves a chance in
the Premier after years of loyal service to them.
We've got him for a good price and perhaps Wolves fans would say
too good a price. Lescott says "I am more than pleased to be
here. I have been up since five this morning and I was just so
excited to get up here and sign the papers and thankfully it is
done now."
"I am more than happy to sign because it was one of my
favourite clubs as a boy and I am grateful I have the chance to
play here."
And there's a change of venue for Everton's reserves who will
play their home games out in Widnes instead of Southport at the
Halton stadium.

Neville
Phil's Captains Role
Phil Neville to be named new captain of Everton
Phil Neville is set to be named as Everton's new captain
for the 2006-07 campaign replacing current skipper David Weir.
Phil's attitude, work-rate and willingness to play anywhere has
seen him become one of David Moyes' favourites and win over most
of the Everton fans.
David Weir
meanwhile will soon reveal his future plans after Everton offered
him a new contract. We believe Weir will leave the club and could
even wait until after the confirmation of Joleon Lescott's
transfer before he announces his decision.
Also well done to Tim Cahill who scored twice in Australia's 3-1
win against Japan in the World Cup. Cahill who only came on as a
substitute scored to equalise and then score again to effectively
win the game for the Australians before John Aloisi scored a
third.
Martyn Forced To
Retire From Football
Goalkeeper Nigel Martyn retires because of a persistent ankle
injury
Goalkeeper Nigel Martyn has been forced to retire from
playing which has not come as a total shock but still sad news
and he'll be missed. We couldn't of asked for any more than he
gave us.
Nigel has played great for us ever since he signed from Leeds who
had put big Nige on the scapheap and its only a shame he didn't
sign ten years earlier (Peter Johnson) when big Nev was on his
way out.
Everton
Sign Andy Johnson
Blues complete transfer of Andy Johnson from Crystal Palace
Everton have completed the signing of Andy Johnson from
Crystal Palace for a fee of around £8.5m breaking our transfer
record and we'll are have to get used to reading about AJ but
will we sing that song?
Start Of
The Silly Season
McFadden speculation prompts the start of another pre-season
For those of you who wondered why James McFadden seemed
to have a chip on his shoulder throughout the West Brom game it
was because he has apparently rejected Everton's latest contract
offer and it is believed that the young Scot is holding out for
at least 20k a week.
His agent said "There have been clubs interested in him but
he wants to prove himself at Everton and his performances have
shown that this season.
"He's had a long run in the team and we are just waiting on
a phone call. The ball is in Everton's court."
Fair enough James has improved and theres no doubt he has a lot
of potential to become a class player but he has not proved
himself yet, and for a player so desperate to play upfront he
certaily hasn't filled the onion bag too many times during the
last campaign.
Another player who is playing his cards close to his chest is
Davie Weir who is in no rush to sign a new deal at Everton and it
is believed Leeds and Sheffield United are waiting in the wings.
However expect Weir to be at Everton next season and a deal to be
done once he comes back from international duty with Scotland.
Weir said "I was offered a new contract only yesterday, the
manager rang me so we'll see what happens," said Weir.
"We've just started talks and I've been travelling so I've
not had much time to think about it, but hopefully that will be
the case."
Howard
Loan On The Range
Keeper Tim Howard signs for Everton on loan
A deal has been agreed between Manchester United and
Everton F.C that will see Tim Howard join us on loan for the
06-07 season.
Goodbye
Dunc
Manager confirms end of Duncan Ferguson's Everton career
David Moyes has officially confirmed that Duncan
Fergusons Everton career is over.
The manager held talks with all his players on Monday morning and
afterwards he revealed that the big Scots performance
against West Brom at Goodison Park on the last day of the
Premiership season was his last in an Everton shirt.
Duncan Ferguson and Li Tie have both been released and we
have decided not to take up the transfer option on Matteo Ferrari
following his loan, - David Moyes.
